Welcome to the Cherry Creek North Neighborhood Association (“CCNNA”) website! The CCNNA mission is to promote, protect, preserve, and enhance the character of the Cherry Creek North neighborhood, the quality of life of its residents, and the feeling of community; and to inform and represent its members. CCNNA is the Registered Neighborhood Organization “RNO”) under the Denver Code and is the point entity for official RNO communication and interaction with the City of Denver on behalf of the neighborhood.
The Cherry Creek North official neighborhood is located near the geographic center of the City and County of Denver and is a mixture of dense urban development and tree-lined residential streets. It is bounded by First Avenue on the south, East Sixth Avenue to the north, York Street (which becomes University Boulevard) on the west, and Colorado Boulevard on the east. The Cherry Creek North neighborhood takes its name from the nearby Cherry Creek running along the south side of the Cherry Creek Mall.
The Cherry Creek North neighborhood’s 16 walkable blocks offer residents a friendly welcoming neighborhood atmosphere for dog walking, strolling, and shopping in the Cherry Creek North Shopping District. Neighbors and their guests can walk to nearby Whole Foods, sought-out restaurants, retail shops offering selections in clothing, footwear, jewelry, and for outdoor aficionados specialty shops for your hiking, biking, fishing, camping experiences.
CCNNA is your neighborhood association staffed by volunteers who work tirelessly to bring neighbors together to enjoy and protect this wonderful neighborhood. With varying options for paid membership, members may enjoy special events like organized Dines Out activities at restaurants. The Exploring Denver group enjoys organized excursions to places around Denver and nearby surrounding areas. Book and movie clubs connect neighbors to one another and help forge lasting friendships. And then there is the work: volunteer board and committee members keep a watch on City legislation that impacts Cherry Creek North and Denver as a whole and educates residents of the neighborhood about issues and new developments. CCNNA advocates for the sustained quality of life in the neighborhood by encouraging good development and monitoring legislation. If you live in Cherry Creek North, JOIN US! CCNNA gives residents a voice and we would love to include yours!
